SECURITY
The central Security station of Complexe Desjardins is located on Level 2 (Place), on the south side near the grocery store. It is in operation 24/7.
The Customer Service counter includes a remote surveillance station operated by the Security department.
Mandate
To ensure the protection of individuals as well as moveable and immoveable property in secure locations, by qualified personnel (who receive ongoing training) and cutting-edge technology. The services offered to the 37,000 people (including 10,000 employees) passing through Complexe Desjardins every day are designed to make life easier for them and improve operations, while ensuring complete security at all times. Security management is geared towards prevention.
Complexe Desjardins’ Security department is a member of the Réseau info-sécurité Montréal (RISM) information network, which joins the main security departments for downtown Montréal and works in partnership with the Montréal police department (SPVM). The activities of the Réseau are mainly focused on exchange of information and standardization of activities and interventions intended to root out criminal activity in downtown Montréal.
Security Systems
Complexe Desjardins uses a highly sophisticated modern security system throughout the Complexe Desjardins facilities, with 116 remote digital cameras, an access control system and a fire alarm system.
